Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and talented Content Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for journalism, an ear for storytelling and the technical skills to produce high-quality multimedia content for a professional audience. This role involves reporting on government news and trends, as well as producing and managing our podcast.

Please note, this position is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in our Southwest Austin office.

Proven experience in journalism, preferably covering government or business sectors. Proficiency in audio recording and editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity). Experience with remote recording platforms (e.g., Riverside.FM). Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms (e.g., Buzzsprout). Strong research, writing, and interviewing skills. Ability to create engaging visuals and graphics for videos using Canva and video editing software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience producing and hosting podcasts. Knowledge of government market trends and issues. Familiarity with AP style. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field.
