California – The North County Transit District (NCTD) has chosen Priya Bhat-Patel and Mike Sannella to take on executive leadership positions on the board.
Bhat-Patel was appointed board chair. She currently serves as mayor pro tempore of Carlsbad. She has been on the NCTD’s Board since 2019, later appointed vice chair in 2022.
Sannella was chosen to replace Bhat-Patel as vice chair on the Board. He is the deputy mayor of San Marcos, a role he was recently appointed to in January 2025. Before taking office as deputy mayor, Sannella served as a San Marcos City Council member.
